Everything you need to know about contributing to, browsing, and trusting MyChildMySchool.com.

We welcome all schools and educational institutions spanning preschool through Grade 12 โ€” or their equivalent across different educational systems worldwide. Because our platform is built on user-generated content, it is as diverse and inclusive as the global community it serves. Any school within this academic range is eligible, regardless of:

  • Geography โ€” country, region, or locality
  • Community โ€” cultural, ethnic, linguistic, or socioeconomic background
  • Demographics โ€” age group, gender, or any reserved or special category
  • Belief Systems โ€” religion, faith, or philosophy
  • Academic Focus โ€” specialized curricula, languages of instruction, or unique skills

We firmly believe diversity in education is not just something to be accommodated โ€” it is the very force that elevates and enriches it. If your institution educates young minds at any level from early childhood through secondary school, you belong here.

Anyone who has a meaningful connection to a school and can identify themselves within one of the following categories is welcome to contribute:

A. Management & Ownership

  • Founders and Co-Founders
  • Board Members and Directors
  • Secretaries and Executive Officers

B. Administration

  • Principals and Vice Principals
  • School Administrators
  • Department Heads and Coordinators

C. Academic Staff

  • Teachers and Instructors
  • Librarians and Counselors
  • Subject Matter Specialists and Academic Advisors

D. Parents & Community Volunteers

  • Parents or Guardians of current or former students
  • Registered and unregistered school volunteers
  • Community members and school well-wishers

E. Students

  • Current enrolled students
  • Alumni and former students
  • Prospective students considering enrollment

Please note: You must accurately identify your relationship to the institution at the time of submission. You may remain anonymous to the public, but your relationship must be disclosed to MyChildMySchool.com to ensure credibility, accountability, and integrity.

MyChildMySchool.com is a globally accessible platform. Anyone, anywhere in the world, can view the information provided the platform is accessible from their location โ€” no registration is required simply to browse and explore school profiles.

However, to actively contribute information, post comments, or submit reviews, users must first create a registered account. Registration is quick and requires only a name and a valid email address.

Absolutely. We respect your right to control your personal data. You may submit a formal data removal request at any time via the "Report & Remove Your Data" section, accessible through the Useful Links in the footer of our homepage.

All requests are reviewed promptly and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations. For further assistance, contact us at info@mychildmyschool.com.

Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Every comment and user-submitted entry includes a built-in option to flag or report content you believe is inappropriate, inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise below our standards.

This applies to individual comments as well as any incorrect or misleading information about a school. Your reports are reviewed by our moderation team and acted on swiftly. Keeping this platform trustworthy is a shared responsibility.

Yes. You can keep your identity anonymous from the public โ€” your name and personal details will not be displayed if you choose this option. However, please note:

  • You must still accurately disclose your relationship to the school, from the categories in FAQ #2, to ensure accountability.
  • If a legal obligation or legitimate law enforcement request arises, your identity may be disclosed to relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

No. School ownership is not a prerequisite. Any individual who fits one of the five contributor categories in FAQ #2 is welcome to submit information.

Where multiple users submit information for the same school, we apply a prioritization framework based on those categories โ€” giving precedence to those with the closest and most authoritative association to the institution.

Yes, absolutely โ€” and we warmly welcome it. We're always looking to grow our library of meaningful, practical, and inspiring content. Whether it's an article on improving admissions, an essay on empowering teachers, or a guide for parents navigating school selection, we encourage you to collaborate with us.

Guidelines for contributors:

  • All submitted content must be entirely your own original work
  • Plagiarized, copied, or unattributed content will not be accepted
  • Content must be relevant and appropriate for our audience

To explore a content partnership, contact us at info@mychildmyschool.com.

MyChildMySchool.com is a non-profit initiative, and our revenue model is designed to preserve complete independence and impartiality. To be unequivocally clear: we do not, and will never, generate any revenue from the schools or institutions listed on this platform.

To meet operational costs, we may sell carefully vetted advertising space to partners whose products are relevant to our audience:

  • School supply vendors and retailers
  • Educational book publishers
  • Educational technology and EdTech platforms

Schools are expressly excluded from advertising partnerships, so our platform remains unbiased and no institution can gain preferential treatment through financial association.

We've officially launched our primary operations in two countries: the United States of America and India.

However, because our platform is globally accessible and built on user-generated content, individuals from any country are welcome to contribute information about their school. Our vision has always been global, and we're actively working to expand to additional countries and regions.

There are several meaningful ways to contribute to our growth:

  • Share school information โ€” contribute accurate details about any school you've been associated with, under any of the five categories in FAQ #2
  • Report inappropriate content โ€” flag anything inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate for our audience
  • Contribute original content โ€” share articles, essays, videos, podcasts, or other resources
  • Advertise with us โ€” if you offer products beneficial to parents, students, or educators (and aren't affiliated with a listed school), inquire about advertising opportunities

Every contribution, no matter how small, strengthens our collective mission.

We handle overlapping or duplicate submissions through a clear and fair prioritization system:

  • For institutional information, priority is assigned based on the contributor categories in FAQ #2, with the most authoritative relationship given precedence
  • For reviews and comments, all submissions display in chronological order by timestamp, unless flagged, reported, or found to violate our standards

This ensures the most credible information is represented most prominently, while still giving voice to the wider community.

Yes. If you encounter content you believe is inaccurate, misleading, unfair, or in violation of our community standards, you have every right to formally challenge it.

Visit the "Report & Remove Your Data" section under Useful Links in our homepage footer, and submit a detailed report outlining your concern. While MyChildMySchool.com retains final authority over all content decisions, we are fully committed to reviewing every dispute thoroughly, transparently, and with genuine consideration for all parties. Our goal is always a fair and satisfactory resolution.

At this time, a verified physical address is a mandatory requirement for all school profiles, to ensure the legitimacy and verifiability of every institution featured.

We regret that fully online schools or institutions without a physical address cannot be listed at this stage. We're continuously reviewing our policies as the landscape of education evolves, and encourage you to check back as our platform grows.

Absolutely. We're an inclusive platform that welcomes all schools regardless of religious affiliation, cultural focus, language of instruction, or the specific community they serve.

Whether your institution is faith-based, community-specific, or language-immersive, you are warmly welcome โ€” provided it offers education within the preschool through Grade 12 range, or its equivalent. For clarification, refer to our About Us page or reach out at info@mychildmyschool.com.

No. We maintain a strict single-profile policy for each school. Duplicate profiles are identified when all three of the following match:

  • School Name
  • Physical Address
  • Contact Phone Number

When two or more profiles match across all three, only one remains active; duplicates are reviewed and removed within 48 hours. All reviews, ratings, and comments from duplicates are merged into the surviving profile so no community contributions are lost. Ownership priority in competing claims is determined by the contributor categories in FAQ #2.
