Mahadevi Higher Secondary School a co-educational, English & Hindi Medium School is situated at Sidhari, Mau Road, Azamgarh. On July 2000, Mr Ram Lakhan Maurya, the Manager of this school made a humble beginning with the ideal of quality education and established this school to awaken the intellects of shining characters and dispell the ignorance from the society in order to provide a high profile education to all.

The school is equipped with all the modern facilities that are necessary to impart quality education to the students. To name a few science (physics , chemistry and bio) labs and computer labs, a library, Big and airy classrooms with comfortable desk and benches, a big play ground etc. have added to the overall development of a child and to view at things from a wider perspective.

Our school strives to create global citizens with deep rooted Indian values so as to make a positive difference. The utmost dedication and hard work of the management, Principal and teachers, understanding and co-operation of the parents, the interest and enthusiasm of the student have brought laurels to the school in every sphere. Our aim is not simply to teach and develop good professional but also to draw out the best.

Swami Vivekananda (1863 - 1902), a great thinker and reformer of India, embraces education, which for him signifies 'man-making', as the very mission of his life. In this paper, which purports to expound and analyze Vivekananda's views on education, an endeavor has been made to focus on the basic theme of his philosophy, viz. the spiritual unity of the universe. Whether it concerns the goal or aim of education, or its method of approach or its component parts, all his thoughts, we shall observe, stem from this dormant theme of his philosophy which has its moorings in Vedanta.
