Milagres School started with classes I to V form in vernacular language and later in the year 1929, July 23 was accorded permanent recognition as an independent Secondary Institution by the Director of Public Instructions, Madras. Considering the need of having an English Medium school for boys in the city the then Headmaster Rev. Fr. Charles Aranha applied for permission to open English Medium parallel sections and was granted permission to open Std. I with order no. E7(a)(E12) 75526-221/64-65 dated
29.06.1965 in consideration of the recommendation by the Deputy Director of Public Instructions, Mysore. Subsequently permission to open sections for Std. II to
VI, order no. EM(a) 13685-140/65-66 dated 08.07.1965 was granted
