Sharada Residential School was founded in the year 1988 by the Dr. TMA Pai Foundation, Manipal to perpetuate the memory of the late Sharada Madhav Pai, who was a woman of strong spirit and humane values. Her husband Dr. TMA Pai, was the legendary visionary and founder of the International University Town of Manipal.
Today, more than 30 years since its inception, Sharada Residential School abides unflinchingly to its cardinal objectives of all- round development of every child, through a blend of academic and co-curricular activities with the necessary facilities and infrastructure to ensure that every child gets an opportunity to discover his 0r her talents and hone them.
The school has a simple yet profound motto - acquisition of knowledge, moulding of character and gaining of self-control. Every activity, decision and methodology governing the school’s functioning is inspired by this motto, which eventually strengthens innocent, inquisitive children to face the growing challenges of the highly competitive world.
