Gaya is a historic city in Bihar having its loving surroundings and glorious traditions of SHANTI (Peace) and ENLIGHTENMENT. SHATABDI FOUNDATION, Gaya (A registered society under Societies of registration Act 1860) launched its first and only institution SHATABDI PUBLIC SCHOOL, GAYA in 2001. The name of the school has many hidden messages and visions of future, the mission of togetherness and ever lasting journey of services to human beings to strengthen the GANGA – JAMUNI HINDUSTANI TAHZEEB. It is an English medium Senior Secondary School affiliated to CBSE, Delhi imparting modern quality education with moral orientation to upbring a generation of responsible citizens having strong character and fear of God in their hearts and minds. They would be trustworthy and torch bearers of the future. This school was formally inaugurated on the 26th October 2000 by Janab Saiyid Hamid, a well known educationist, former V. C. of Aligarh Muslim University and presently Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi.
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
Shatabdi Public School, a Senior Secondary School, affiliated to CBSE; Delhi is running under the Shatabdi Foundation, Gaya. It is located in the peaceful area of the city about 3 kms in the West of the Gaya, Railway Junction. The five splendid buildings with well-ventilated classrooms, modern laboratories, well-furbished library and computer lab make it an ideal place for learning and growth. A new mosque has also been built inside the school campus. The trees along the boundary wall and a garden make the campus pollution free.
Started in 2001, the school has been progressing by leaps and bounds and has earned fame because of its quality education and plural approach. At present it is imparting education to around 1400 students who come from different sections of the society. The school lays emphasis on the education of girls, as it is evident from their percentage, which is approximately 40% of the total number of students.
Admission is open to all without any discrimination of caste, creed and religion. A large number of students come from neighboring rural areas and the conveyance facility is provided to them.
