Sri Guru Harkrishan Sen. Sec. Public School, G.T. Road, Amritsar, a front runner in the chain of institutions is the first school in the region to be affiliated to CBSE. Founded in the name of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji, the eighth guru of the Sikhs, the school was established in 1967 under the flagship of Chief Khalsa Diwan. During the span of 54 years, the school has taken large strides in academics and sports arena leaving a trail of glorious achievements behind it. It is located on the G.T. Road at a distance of about half a kilometer from Amritsar Railway Station. The school has about 4800 students on its roll. Our Hallowed Portals The healthy, neat, clean and beautiful school building shows its quality of education and discipline. The palatial building has state of the art infrastructure. It comprises of 153 well lighted, fully furnished AC classrooms fitted with smart boards, well equipped Science laboratories (Phy/Chem/Bio), Mathematics lab, four computer labs, language lab, two art studios, three music rooms, toy room, dance theater, food production lab, multimedia room, Abhiyas Kendra, two auditoriums, conference hall and seminar hall. The school has two well stocked libraries with more than 30,000 books that are easily accessible to the students. The whole school is wi-fi enabled and is under CCTV surveillance.
